The story of Kalrav

“The little sounds that make a home feel alive.”

Kalrav is the word for birdsong at dawn — many small voices at once, unhurried and glad. This piece is a family of three birds, each shaped by hand from acacia, gathered together as if mid-conversation.

They are about togetherness: the shared laughter at a table, the easy noise of people who belong to each other. No two birds are quite alike, and the grain gives each its own character, its own small personality.

Kalrav brings warmth and a gentle playfulness to a space, without ever raising its voice.

I

The material

Acacia wood, shaped by hand. Each form is carved, sanded and finished so the grain follows the line of the piece.

II

Its character

Grain, tone and texture vary from piece to piece, so yours will differ slightly from the photographs. These variations are not flaws — they make it yours alone.

III

Care

Made for dried and preserved botanicals only. Keep away from water, moisture and direct heat. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth.

How to style Kalrav

Set the three birds close together on a shelf, a window ledge or beside a stack of books, as if they have just landed. Turn one slightly away from the others — the scene feels more alive when the family isn't lined up.
